Protect Your Windshield with Midwest Tinting’s Windshield Protection Film
Why Choose Midwest Tinting’s Windshield Protection Film?
Your windshield is one of the most vulnerable parts of your vehicle. Whether you’re driving the Kansas City highways, construction zones, or gravel roads, your windshield is constantly exposed to rocks, road debris, and other hazards that can cause chips and cracks. Our Windshield Protection Film is designed to provide an extra layer of defense, reducing the risk of costly windshield replacements and keeping your view clear and unobstructed.
Benefits of Our Windshield Protection Film
- Impact Resistance: Our high-quality film absorbs impacts from small rocks, road debris, and other objects that commonly cause chips and cracks.
- Optically Clear: The film is virtually invisible, maintaining the clarity of your windshield without any distortion.
- Self-Healing Technology: Minor scratches and scuffs disappear with heat, keeping your windshield looking new.
- UV Protection: Blocks 99% of UV rays to minimize sun exposure inside your vehicle, protecting your dash and interior.
- Enhanced Safety: In the event of a strong impact, the film helps hold shattered glass together, reducing the risk of injury.
- Pro-Active Solution: Avoid expensive windshield replacements by preventing damage before it happens.

How Our Windshield Protection Film Works
Our Windshield Protection Film is a durable, multi-layer polyurethane material that is professionally applied to your windshield. It absorbs and disperses the energy from road debris impacts, significantly reducing the chances of chips and cracks. Unlike traditional glass coatings or sprays, this protective film provides long-lasting, reliable protection without altering the look or performance of your windshield. It’s ideal for all types of vehicles:
- Daily commuters who frequently drive on highways
- Performance and luxury vehicle owners who want to preserve their car’s pristine condition
- Off-road and adventure enthusiasts who navigate gravel, dirt, and rocky terrains
- Fleet and commercial vehicle owners looking to reduce maintenance costs
How long does the film last? Does it come with a warranty?
XPEL Windshield Protection Film typically lasts between 3 to 5 years, depending on environmental conditions and proper maintenance. Regular cleaning and care can help maximize its lifespan, ensuring continued protection and performance. It’s also covered by XPEL’s manufacturer warranty for 1 year or 12,000 miles: whichever occurs first.

1. INITIAL CARE
- Post-Installation: After installation, avoid washing your vehicle for at least 48 hours to allow the film to properly adhere and cure. XPEL also recommends purchasing and installing a new set of premium windshield wiper blades.
2. WASHING GUIDELINES
- Hand Washing: We recommend hand washing your vehicle using XPEL Wash Solution or Foam Soap and a soft microfiber mitt. Rinse thoroughly with water.
- Pressure Washing: Keep the nozzle at least 36 inches (1 meter) away from the film when using a pressure washer. Avoid spraying directly at the edges of the film to prevent lifting. We recommend using a 40-degree nozzle.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use strong chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaning tools on the film, as these can damage the protective coating.
- Drying: Always dry the vehicle with a clean, soft microfiber towel to avoid water spots. Avoid letting the vehicle air-dry in direct sunlight.
3. STAIN AND CONTAMINANT REMOVAL
- Bird Droppings & Bug Splatter: Remove contaminants like bird droppings and bug splatter as soon as possible to prevent staining. Use warm water and a pH neutral soap (XPEL Wash Solution or Foam Soap). In an emergency on-the-go you can apply XPEL SiO2 Waterless Wash to the affected area and wipe off with microfiber towel.
- Tree Sap & Tar: For stubborn contaminants like tree sap and tar, use a 50/50 Water & Isopropyl Alcohol in a spray bottle. Spray the mixture directly onto microfiber towel and wipe the affected area.
4. WINDSHIELD FILM MAINTENANCE
- Regular Cleaning: To maintain the clarity and appearance of the film, clean the film regularly with XPEL Wash Solution or Foam Soap. For an all-in-one solution, the XPEL TPU Windshield Protection Film Maintenance Kit (M1291, sold separately) includes XPEL Waterless Wash, Waterspot Remover, and Glass Cleaner.
- Avoid Waxing: Do not apply waxes or polishes that contain dyes, abrasive compounds, or solvents directly onto the film.
5. WINTER CARE
- Snow and Ice Removal: Avoid using sharp tools or metal scrapers that could damage the film. Govered or garaged parking is recommended
6. IMPORTANT NOTES
- Wiper Blades: We recommend replacing your windshield wiper blades regularly to prevent scratches or damage to the film.
7. WPF RESTORE
- XPEL WPF Restore Application: WPF Restore enhances the hydrophobic properties of the film, ensuring optimal
performance and longevity.
Application Instructions For WPF RESTORE:
1. Ensure your XPEL WINDSHIELD PROTECTION FILM is clean and completely dry.
2. Shake the bottle of WPF RESTORE well before use.
3. Lightly mist the product onto the windshield, working one section at a time. Divide the windshield into 4 sections for even coverage.
4. Using a clean microfiber towel, spread the product evenly across each section. Buff until the film has a smooth, clear finish.
By following these guidelines and applying the XPEL WPF Restore at the 6-month mark, you can ensure the longevity and performance of your XPEL Windshield Film, keeping your vehicle protected and looking its best.
